Long Night of Choirs

For the 12th time, the Long Night of Choirs draws crowds to Salzburg’s Old Town on the evening before Ascension Day.

More than 60 choirs offer a colorful and varied program: traditional and modern, sacred and secular, regional and international. Performances take place at 18 venues throughout Salzburg’s Old Town, including magnificent ceremonial halls, movie theaters, museums, and sacred sites such as the crypt beneath the cathedral or the catacombs high above St. Peter’s Cemetery.
