drums, and keyboards. Cornelius, who was born in Vienna in 1951, is one of the most influential German-language songwriters. His music is always inspired by personal experiences and social observations. Songs such as "Der Kaffee ist fertig" (The coffee is ready), "Du entschuldige, i kenn di" (Excuse me, I know you) and "Reif für die Insel" (Ready for the island) have become classics.
