Salzburg Easter Festival 2026: "Das Rheingold"

In 2026, the Salzburg Easter Festival will open a new chapter: with Kirill Petrenko at the conductor's podium, the founding orchestra—the Berlin Philharmonic—will return to the Salzach. The focus will be on a monumental project: Richard Wagner's "Ring of the Nibelung" will be staged in a new production by director Kirill Serebrennikov starting in 2026, beginning with "Das Rheingold."
