The heart of this museum is an old, painstakingly restored forge with a wide variety of tools that focus on the art of blacksmithing and the everyday work of the blacksmith.

The Bachschmiede as a cultural center

The exhibitions "200 Years of the Landwehr" and "The Roman Palace Villa of Loig" can be admired here, as well as a "Historical Toy Collection". But the Bachschmiede in Wals-Siezenheim is not just a museum. Rather, it is a cultural center, a meeting place for artists and art lovers. With its cultural hall and art gallery, it is an open place for the cultural communication process, especially in terms of cross-border museum and cultural work in the Salzburg-Bavaria region.
